About Vital
Vital is an independent publication about health, nutrition, and longevity — written for regular people, not researchers or biohackers with home labs.
The wellness industry runs on confusion. "Superfoods" that aren't. Supplements with claims the evidence can't support. Longevity gurus selling certainty about science that's still emerging. And most health advice online is either a product pitch wearing an explainer's clothes, or a scary headline that falls apart when you read the study.
We started Vital to be the opposite of that: plain-English explainers on how the body works, honest breakdowns of what nutrition and lifestyle interventions can and can't do, and clear-eyed looks at what the research actually says. When the evidence is weak, we say so. When we don't know something, we say that too.
What we cover
- Nutrition: protein, diets, fasting, and nutrients — what matters and what's marketing.
- Longevity: healthspan, aging science, and the habits linked to longer, healthier lives.
- Biohacking: cold exposure, light therapy, wearables, recovery tech — evidence first, hype last.
- Fitness: strength, cardio, VO2 max, daily movement — the exercise that matters most.
- Sleep: the foundation everything else builds on.
What we don't do
- We don't sell anything. No ads, no sponsored posts, no supplement links, no pay-to-play rankings.
- We don't give personal medical advice. We explain how things work; what you do with your health is between you and a qualified professional.
- We don't promise outcomes, quote miracle results, or pretend weak evidence is strong. When a claim needs a caveat, we give it.
